1915-1916 records show Mabel living at her parent's home on 401 S.Fairview, Lock Haven, PA., and her occupation was listed as music teacher. Obituary notice from The Lock Haven Express dated November 4, 1944: Mabel E. Knecht Dies At Home Miss Mabel E. Knecht, well-known local teacher of piano died at 2:25a. m. this morning at her home, 401 S. Fairview St., after a shortillness. She has been in ill health for some time. Miss Knecht was born in Parvin 55 years ago, but had lived in thiscity for the past 32 years. She is a daughter of William T. Knecht, whosurvives, and the late Mrs. Margaret Knecht. A graduate of the local Teachers College and the PhiladelphiaConservatory of Music, she was always interested in music, and numberedmany local young people among her piano students of former years. She wasa charter member of the Lock Haven Music Club. Miss Knecht was also an active member of St. Luke's Reformed Church,and its auxiliary women's organizations. Surviving in addition to her father, are a sister, Miss M. LillianKnecht, at home, and two brothers, Frank S. of Pittsburgh and John W. ofDetroit. Facts about this person: Burial Mt.
