Emigrants to PA, 1641-1819, by Tepper, Michael, pg. 127. Accounts of servants bound and assigned before James Hamilton, Mayor of Philadelphia, June 18th, 1746. William McCrea assigns Hugh Meenagh, a servant from Ireland in the ship Catharine to Joh n McCool of Chester County, yeoman, for 4 years from May 29, 1746. Consideration of 14 pounds customary dues. Delaware sits at the border of Chester County PA. It's not known if he lived in both places or simply owned land in both places. |
